The 2018 Formula 1 season is set to explode with the first event of the year, the Rolex Australian Grand Prix, using motorsport platform Formulr to attract and engage a new, larger audience.
Promotional activations will launch across Melbourne from Friday with new users in the city who download Formulr free from the App Store or Google Play having the chance to win two tickets to the Mark Webber Grandstand at the Grand Prix.
@ausgrandprix will be posting entertaining content to immerse audiences at the circuit and at home, in the full Grand Prix experience. F1 teams such as Mercedes AMG F1, Williams, Force India and Sauber, also active on Formulr, will allow followers to get a complete view of what’s happening around the circuit during the race.
While eager audiences at Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit wait for the incredible new spec F1 cars to roll onto the start grid, they can watch past race highlights from support category Australian GT as well as other series across the globe.
Fans can also share their own Grand Prix experience by tagging the event when posting photos and videos to Formulr.
Mobile platform Formulr provides one place to connect with the entire world of motorsport, a first in the sport’s 123-year history. Users can search and discover any championship, team, driver, rider, circuit and manufacturer across the globe. The information hub then has a social element built into it. Fans and the industry can see what profiles are racing in each event and interact with posts, videos and articles.
By creating profiles for every event and entrant from the beginning of motorsport in 1894, Formulr also enables the motorsport community to curate its rich history.
